The introduction of new socio-economic model, different from the well-known egoistic one, is possible after clarification of three fundamental questions:
- Who are the subjects of the model?
- What are their legal interests?
- How should be structured the relations between them, in order to be integrated and satisfied optimally their interests?
Comprehensive definition of the subjects of the holistic model is of crucial importance in order to form just and logic markers which interests are supposed to be protected simultaneously in a holistic organization.
There is an important distinction between the names “subjects of the holistic model” and “participants in a holistic organization”. The first are generic terms on a level of planet and biological species – Earth, humankind, animals and plants. The second are the concrete representatives who are part of a holistic organization.
Earth and other celestial bodies are considered as separate subjects of the holistic model who have their own interests. By permeating of the outer space and potentially maintaining official contacts with extraterrestrial beings, the vast resources of outer space will become with even more value for the humankind than in the present. When this level of development is reached it is necessary the holistic model to include also the celestial bodies and the extraterrestrial beings.
The rights of the subjects of the holistic model serve as mandatory guidelines for all participants of holistic organizations. Depending on the type of the concrete organization, it may have different type of participants. If it is a private corporation which is an employer, its participants will be its employees. If the corporation own animals and plants, they also should be considered as participants and their rights have to be protected while harmonious relationships are built with external subjects.
If the holistic organization is a non-governmental with members, the participants will be precisely them.
If the holistic organization is a state, participants will be all private subjects with its citizenship, as well as all animals and plants which the state is responsible for. Presently, such private subjects are natural persons and all type of legal entities: companies, NGOs, religious organizations, etc. When are created new legal entities in a holistic organization, its objectives, organizational structure and functions should be in accordance with the aims and purpose of the holistic model. What we see today is that capitalistic states are regulating the activities of their private individuals. More details about the inner structure of a holistic organization are presented in the book Holistic Society.
In the holistic model all organizations, created by humans, without regard whether they are states, or private organizations, are in the scope of the primal subject – humankind. This means that their main interest and guideline for development shall be the interest of humankind. This requirement is derived from the logic conclusion that the state is an organizational structure of part of the humankind and therefore it is obliged not just to take it into consideration, but to satisfy it in the best possible manner.
The national interest should never be in conflict with the interest of humankind. Only then the holistic model can be adopted. Much to our regret this principle was constantly abused throughout all of the known history of polity, and one of the most visible examples is the waging of war between nations, in order to resolve national disputes.
The holistic model is presented in order to bring in the world an urgent change which could lead to harmonious development of humans from all nations.
Beside the private subjects, in the state there are also animals and plants which until present day are regarded as objects. In stark contrast, they are seen as indispensable subjects in the holistic model. Although animals and plants are not considered as legal subjects from the states (with the exception of dolphins from the side of India), they should be regarded as sentient beings, who are participants in the holistic organization and who have their own rights and legitimate interests.
